Nine Network of Public Media is a nonprofit organization located in the Grand Center district in St. Louis, Missouri. The vision of former and late CEO, Jack Galmiche, was for the organization to become an integral part of St. Louis through serving, engaging and energizing the members of the community and to become a forerunner of public media innovation.

In 2009 Jack selected Axi:Ome to design a 4,500sf multi-functional space to house their community outreach forums, innovative education sessions and local media production work.  The Nine Center was the first project of many that Axi:Ome has collaborated on with the Nine Network.

In 2017 Axi:Ome was asked to design a 3,500 sf space for V9 Digital, a newly formed media digitization and preservation organization under the Nine Network umbrella.  After completing Schematic Design of V9 Digital, Axi:Ome was asked to visualizing the entirety of the Nine Network building through a conceptual master plan, including the adjacent parking lot.  The purpose was to explore different possibilities and ways of engaging the community through architectural intervention while supporting the shifting internal work culture to become an innovator in public media.
