The Nine Network Cafe expands the programmatic vision of the Nine Network’s ability to create TV shows educating the public on healthy and fun life styles of the culinary arts. The kitchen is a functional facility with TV studio components that allow intergraded media infrastructures in basic architectural surfaces. For example, the wall panels are perforated for acoustics and the cooking appliances and storage are intergraded into wall systems, a ceiling surface deploys mirrors for reflecting images of the cooking stations, and further, flexible lighting infrastructures allow the space to modify according to broadcasting demands. The spaces are designed with multiple layers of transparency for views across the cooking space to the audience space and to various planted zones. An outdoor patio acts as a place of gathering and blurs the boundaries between interior and exterior events making connections between culinary arts and the garden.
