The Cloud serves as a multi-level observation deck, overseeing the Han River and the marina landscapes. The undulating roofscape creates varying light qualities and a sense of lightness that correlates with the flow of the river. A unique feature of the terminal is the continuous light and anamorphosis of the roofscape. The Could's floating roof skin is fabricated with tensile metal mesh and constructed with a lightweight steel-frame structure that captures the views of the river and the city with dynamic gestures. The distinctive urban gesture aims to maintain the landscape's character and to bring social, cultural and infrastructural improvements within the aesthetic and environmental context, setting an example for Seoul's sustainable and cultural development.
